Meet Erin

Erin Cork Woolfolk grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri where outdoor adventures, domestic life and a love of creating filled her childhood. In 2005 she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education with an Art emphasis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. At the University of Missouri her love of textiles was born. In 2008 she completed her Master’s of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art-Textiles from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. While living in St. Louis she taught throughout the region as an adjunct professor, at Craft Alliance and high school art. In 2010 she moved to Virginia where she worked as an elementary and middle school art teacher. Her childhood interests make their way into her textile work, where domestic life and nature intersect. Her work has been shown nationally.

The deeper Erin grew in her Catholic faith the more she felt called to create faith-filled work. At Wool Folk Studio, Erin strives to create beautiful Catholic art for your home.

I found “My Home” among some things belonging to my grandparents. I don’t know the true provenance of this tiny embroidery, but in my imagination my grandmother is the person who lovingly stitches it. This embroidery has become one of the mascots of my studio. Wool Folk Studio
